25 March 2024 News The 20th anniversary International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for Waste Management and Wastewater Treatment was held in Expocentre, Moscow, from the 19th to the 21st of March 2024. The public company “Russian Environmental Operator” (PPK “REO”), implementing the “Ecology” project in the field of solid waste management, was act as a co-organiser of Wasma.The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. This year, over 70 companies from Russia, China, the Republic of Belarus and Turkey took part in the exhibition, and the exhibition area totalled 4 600 square metres, which is 15% more than in 2023. The Wasma 2024 exhibition aroused great interest on the part of visitors. Over three days, the exhibition was visited by 2 295 representatives of regional operators, industrial and agricultural enterprises, water utilities and leasing companies. The co-operation agreement was signed at the Wasma exhibition between Russian Ecological Operator and MVK. The companies will join forces to solve the tasks of creating a closed-cycle economy in the sphere of solid municipal waste management. Also on the exhibition platform a memorandum of cooperation was signed between ERBA-Eco Consulting and MVK, which enshrines the intention of the companies to carry out joint actions aimed at the development of digitalisation and technological support for environmental monitoring for the next two years. At the Wasma 2024 exhibition a vip-round of the exposition was held, which was attended by Denis P. Butsayev, Director General of PPK “REO”, and Dmitry D. Tetenkin, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. Large-scale industry events were held as part of the exhibition business programme: 5th Anniversary International Congress of Environmental Technologies; 4th conference "Industrial and Domestic Wastewater Treatment". The participants of the business programme - over 600 delegates and more than 100 industry experts, representatives of relevant enterprises and government agencies - discussed topical issues of the waste management and wastewater treatment industry within the framework of the conferences. The exhibition also included a competition among exhibitors for the best PR or marketing department - PR battle Wasma 2024. The winners of the contest were 4 exhibiting companies: Iskadaz Special Machine Building Plant, Modern Transport Technologies Group, Novye Trubnye Tekhnologii, and Intertehelektro Group.
