The government of the Russian Federation will send more than six billion rubles from the federal budget to the reclamation of landfills in 2020 as part of the Clean Country direction of the national project Ecology, TASS learned from the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
In 2019 it is planned to complete the reclamation in eight regions at 33 sites of accumulated damage, including industrial waste dumps. To date, this list includes the Bryansk, Moscow, Novgorod, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk regions, the Chechen Republic, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the Republic of Ingushetia.
The national project «Ecology» includes the following subsections: Clean Country, Complex System of Solid Waste Management, Infrastructure to Manage Waste of Hazard Class I and II, Clean Air, Clean Water, Ecological Improvement of the Volga, Conservation of Lake Baikal, Conservation of Unique Water Objects, Conservation of Biological Diversity and Development of Ecological Tourism, Conservation of Forests, and Introduction of the Best Available Technologies.
In total it is planned to spend 4 trillion 41 billion rubles for the execution of the national project in the Russian Federation (from the federal budget - 701.2 billion rubles, from the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation - 133.8 billion rubles, from extrabudgetary sources - 3 trillion 206.1 billion rubles).
