18 March 2025 Press release Wasma - the 21st International Exhibition of Environmental Technologies - will be held in Moscow, Expocentre, from 25 to 27 March. Wasma is one of the key exhibitions in Russia, bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of environmental technologies, representatives of recycling and disposal companies, regional operators, ecologists of industrial enterprises and state and municipal authorities. The exhibition is traditionally co-organised by the Public Law Company ‘Russian Environmental Operator’. This year Wasma exhibition has been thematically expanded - now the exhibition sections reflect the whole range of opportunities for creating a closed cycle economy: ‘Waste Management’, ‘Recycling, Regeneration, Recovery’, ‘Water Disposal, Water Treatment and Water Purification’, ‘Utility Equipment’, ‘Environmental Monitoring’, ‘Industrial Air Purification’ and ‘Automation and IT Solutions’. The main event of Wasma will be the business programme, which will include important industry events: International Congress of Ecological Technologies, which will consider normative, investment and technological aspects of creating a closed-cycle economy, as well as practical cases on the organisation of separate collection and involvement of residents and methods of recycling secondary resources. Conference ‘Industrial and Domestic Wastewater Treatment’, where it is planned to discuss the issues of eco-monitoring, modernisation of treatment facilities, best available technologies, legal problems and initiatives of the industry community. International Forum ‘Elimination of Oil and Oil Products Spills’. The forum programme includes: issues of interaction between the state, society and business, new technologies in the field of prevention and elimination of oil spills and their environmental consequences, modern methods of oil waste processing. A lecture on handling different classes of waste, which will present ESG best practices and creative cases in the field of waste management, consider issues of digitalisation of processes and prospects for the development of ROP. An interactive programme is planned for visitors to the exhibition: Art objects from recycled materials. Renowned artist Artur Palchik will create thematic compositions from metal lids. Let us introduce some of the Russian exhibitors. Autobau will present at the exhibition a revolutionary solution in the field of collection and removal of solid waste - an all-electric rubbish truck. The rubbish truck is assembled in the Russian Federation, the vehicle is fully certified and registered with the traffic police. EcoPoint, a Russian developer and manufacturer of smart points for the collection of secondary resources for remuneration, will present three versions of the devices: outdoor, indoor and built-in. The EcoPoint machines accept a large number of fractions with a recognition accuracy of over 97% and are remunerated via SBP or bonus points. ECOMASHGRUPP Group of Companies has extensive experience in the design and construction of complex, non-typical projects of various degrees of automation, productivity and performs turnkey works. The company has 3 own production sites with a total area of more than 55,000 sq.m., which include its own scientific, production and technical centre, design group, construction and installation department, service department with round-the-clock working hours. Ryazhsky Avtoremontny Zavod will demonstrate the first domestic rubbish truck on a MAZ chassis with a thrusting rear axle that provides improved manoeuvrability, which is especially important in dense urban areas and narrow streets. The vehicle is equipped with a modern system of waste loading and compaction. The company ‘Production Safety and Ecology’ - an official development partner of 1C company - will present solutions for environmental safety of business, allowing to automate the following processes: accounting and planning of environmental activities, control of environmental indicators, reporting. L-Labs will demonstrate a robot-sorter based on artificial intelligence, which automatically recognises, captures and moves objects on a conveyor belt. The robot can be easily integrated into industrial sorting complexes and is capable of identifying more than 50 types of recyclable materials, has a load capacity of up to 5kg and a capture speed of up to 50 objects per minute. ‘MAZ’ will show at the exhibition a rear-loading MAZ-6903C5 rubbish truck with a swivel axle, which is capable of transporting TKO weighing up to 13 tonnes, provides effective compaction of rubbish: the compaction ratio is 1:7, the compaction force is 32,000 kgf, and also the rubbish truck is manufactured according to the agreed technical requirements of PPK “REO” for operation in cramped conditions of megacities.
