The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to allocate ₽38 billion to waste incineration plants
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed a phased implementation of Rostec's project for the construction of 25 waste incineration plants, starting with nine such enterprises. Their total value amounts to 342,5 billion rubles and the budget will need 37,55 billion rubles.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade suggested phased implementation of the project of "RT-Invest" (a subsidiary of "Rostekh") on the construction of 25 incinerators in the largest cities of Russia with populations over 500 thousand people. At the first stage nine plants can be built. The Ministry has also developed a separate federal project "Development of Energy Efficient Technologies for Production and Consumption Waste Utilization" in order to include these plants into the National Project "Ecology".
Last week on December 16th the letter with the text of the new federal project was sent by the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov to the corresponding departments.
"RT-Invest proposed to build plants all over Russia with a total capacity of 14.6 million tons at a cost of 1.3 trillion rubles, of which 320 billion rubles were to be subsidized from the federal and regional budgets. The company was going to build all 25 plants in six years - in 2021-2026, but it did not specify from which regions this project would start and in what sequence they would be built.
