Putin instructed to check how business complies with waste management rules

"The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to verify compliance by the federal executive authorities and executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation with the requirements of the legislation on the involvement of production and consumption waste in the economic turnover as additional sources of raw materials," says the corresponding list of instructions.

It should be reminded that the reform of the institution of extended responsibility of producers and importers for the disposal of waste generated by them, which, on behalf of Vladimir Putin, was to take place by the end of March, was postponed. As Kommersant wrote, the Ministry of Natural Resources, referring to the coronavirus pandemic and the difficult economic situation, appealed to the relevant Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko with a request to postpone the development and adoption of the concept of reforming the institution of extended producer responsibility for the fourth quarter of 2021.
